Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.

About

29.1 million people in the United States have diabetes, 8.1 million whom many be undiagnosed and unaware of their condition. In adults 20 or older, more than one in every ten people suffer from diabetes, and in seniors (65+) that figure rises to one in four. Age, excess weight (particularly around the waist), family history, physical inactivity, and poor diet are significant risk factors for the illness. Diabetes is also a major cause to stroke and heart disease.

Patients with diagnosed diabetes incur average medical expenditures of about $13,700 per year. Many patients cannot afford their medication/insulin. Health Care today is unable to provide complete coverage for many people in your own community. It is alarming when working families have high deductibles of $5,000+ causing them to struggle to afford insulin.

Help these people in your own community by joining the 5k Run/Walk To Control Diabetes TODAY!
